Hi, Welcome back to my blog for a new project to do together. Again this time I thought of a simple and fast work, everyone’s reach: given the success of the last tutorial, today I will show you how to use the basic quilling shapes to make simple flowers and tulips.
I do not want to tell you anything else, let’s see what it is. You will find the tutorial at the bottom of the article.
QUILLING PAPER FLOWERS AND TULIPS: BASE IDEA
Once you have learned how to make the basic quilling forms, you can create multiple compositions and decorations.
For this tutorial I thought of simple tulips and flowers of various colors. It will be that I love nature, especially the flowers, which I enjoy recreating them in any form and technique.
I created a composition of flowers and tulips with stems and leaves: I didn’t think I had so much fun doing this kind of work.
Also, it was a pretty easy job: maybe a little long as we have to roll paper every time, but it was worth it!
I will definitely have other tutorials on it so stay tuned on my blog!
QUILLING PAPER FLOWERS AND TULIPS: MATERIAL NECESSARY
As with the first article in the series, working with these techniques is simple, fast and suitable for everyone, even to those who move the first steps with manual work.
You will only need a few things that you might already have at home or still find in the fine arts stores. If you prefer to buy online, where possible, I also leave links to buy the material on the web.
- Colored paper in strings (http://amzn.to/2raaFgx)
- Pen tool (http://amzn.to/2ra0it6)
- Classic vinyl glue
- Circle template
- Sewing pins
You’ve seen, are not many, right? I’m sure you will have home many of these items, such as sewing pins and vinyl glue.
QUILLING PAPER FLOWERS AND TULIPS: USEFUL SUGGESTIONS
Before leaving the tutorial, I would like to give you some little suggestion and advice that might be useful for your project.
If you do not want to buy the already cut cards or you do not like the proposed color, you can use the pasta machine with the special tool you use to make the tagliatelle and cut the card you like.
When using the circle template, I recommend putting it under the cork: once you put the glue on the paper, you can use the sewing needle to lock the paper and adhere the glue simply by fixing it in the cork.
QUILLING PAPER FLOWERS AND TULIPS: TUTORIAL
Below you can see the tutorial and then do the work I’ve talked to you so far. I am very curious to see your version, so just have it done, I would recommend it, send me a photo via email or write a post on my Facebook page. Do you mind, huh?
